When Sandra arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, she was too tired to travel again. She thought of resting for a while before going to Mumbai.

Chapterwise story listing -> The Superstition

Of course Aditya, the Indian DareDevil was waiting for her at the airport. She recognized him instantly and went straight to him. She had a few heavy bags which Aditya offered to carry.

Such a Gentleman. She thought.

After all the formalities were done and all the greetings were exchanged, Aditya told her that they were leaving for Mumbai that night. She made a face and said, “I’m too tired to travel today Aditya. Can we go there tomorrow instead of today?”

“Yeah, sure. Would you like to stay at my uncle’s house or a hotel.” Aditya replied.

“A hotel would be perfect”,she said.

“In India, we have a saying, “Atithi Devo…”

“…Bhava”, she completed,”which means your guest is like your god. I know.”

“Ohkay… So as you know the saying compels me to invite you to stay at my uncle’s place.”

“I would stay at your uncle’s place but I have one condition”

“What is it?”

“Tonight you are going to tell me all the superstition horror stories about your country. Do we have a deal?”

“Deal…! Come on let’s go, my uncle’s place is not far from here.”

So Aditya took Sandra to his uncle’s place. In India if a boy brings a girl home, it is generally assumed that they are involved with each other. So despite of all the clarification Aditya gave them, his uncle’s family still was not convinced especially his grandmother.

She kept saying “This is a bad omen, he has brought with him a white devil. This girl is going to doom us all to hell! She is cursed and she should not be here. She really shouldn’t.”

All of it was in their native language hindi so Sandra could understand only some of it. Therefore she was unaware that Aditya’s grandmother called her a white devil.

Aditya took permission from his uncle but he was allowed to keep Sandra in their home for one night only and she had to be gone first thing in the morning. He gave her his room and he himself was going to sleep on the couch.

As the night approached, Aditya went into Sandra’s room with a bottle of wine and two glasses. She was all rested from the sleep she had so she was wide awake in her night gown.

Being of age 21 in India with such orthodox parents Aditya had little to no encounters with females in his bedroom. He was frustrated and thought he had a chance with Sandra. He poured her and himself a glass of wine and after cheers he started, “So I’m here to uphold my end of the bargain.”

“Oh yeah, the superstition horror stories.”

“Yeah…! So there are a lot of places here in India which like the states have their own tales. Sadly none of them true according to me but still according to our ancestors and recent occult experts, they are haunted due to superstitions.”

So he told her all the different horror stories of a lot of places around the Indian sub-continent. Beginning with the himalayan mountains in the north to the Indian ocean in the south, from the Bay of Bengal in the east to the Arabian Sea in the west, he told her everything.

Sandra was so overwhelmed by these stories that she didn’t count how many glasses of wine she had had. She was looking at Aditya and saw how passionate and muscular and dashing he was and she couldn’t resist him.

Suddenly out of nowhere she stopped him from talking by putting her lips on his. They kissed and it was Aditya’s first kiss after high school. It was an amazing moment. When both of them came to be aware of what had happened they pulled themselves back.

They were a little embarrassed and no one said a word. There was an utter silence in the room. After a long pause, they both looked into each other’s eyes. They saw lust burning in huge flames which could only be extinguished by the soothing touch of each other’s writhing hot bodies. It was clear what they had to do so they did it.

GDK

The next morning both of them were awakened by a splatter of a steel plate on the ground right in front of Aditya’s bed. It was Aditya’s aunt who saw Sandra and Aditya on the same bed in the same blanket probably naked, sleeping together, which only meant one thing.

She screamed and the whole family gathered around Aditya’s bed. Sandra was shocked by this behavior. According to her she just had casual sex with Aditya. She didn’t know it was that big a deal in India.

Then she remembered what she had read in class. It was about marriage and sex in Indian Culture. It was clearly mentioned that a boy and a girl can only consummate their physical relationship once they are married and bound to spend eternity together. She violated that law and she was utterly embarrassed.

So she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. Aditya pulled up his shorts and got out of the bed, he took his family out in the hall and explained them everything. They didn’t listen to his reason and declared that he was dead to them. He was supposed to pack his bags and leave.

When he came back in his room, Sandra apologized. Aditya said, “I was going to move out anyway. So our Mumbai trip is canceled as uncle will tell my parents about you and they won’t allow me into the “sacred” house. Not that your trip is wasted now, I have planned that we would go and visit all the superstition related haunted places so that you can write all that in your report. How does that sound?”

“It’s perfect! When do we leave?”

“In an hour…”
