Nadia screamed and I knew Denise found the book and something happened to her.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Too scared to move, we waited for Nadia to come back into the room. She returned with the book but Denise was nowhere to be seen. Her eyes were filled with horror. I dared to ask her, “What happened? Where is Denise?”<\/p>\n

“She’s gone!” <\/em>she said in a faint voice.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“What?” I said terrified to hear the answer. She couldn’t say but she showed us the book. I took the book and found that a page was missing. The page before it had a rough translation of what was written on the wooden block with its picture on the top.<\/p>\n

It was about a centuries old curse. Something about a demon rising from the dead forever, if it feasts on eight innocent souls. The page that had the part on how to kill this demon was ripped apart.<\/p>\n

The Discussion<\/h4>\n

“But what happened to Denise?” I asked again.<\/p>\n

She said, “She’s gone. Melissa took her.”<\/p>\n

“I think that’s not Melissa anymore.” said Randy.<\/p>\n

“We have to get out of here!!!” said Jessica, one of our friends.<\/p>\n

“We can’t leave Denise out there with that monster! We gotta try to save her. She’s my sister for pete’s sake!” said Denise’s brother Patrick.<\/p>\n

“Patrick is right. We can’t leave her alone.” I said.<\/p>\n

Jessica said, “I’m not gonna die for her. I’m leaving.”<\/p>\n

“Where will you go? The plane is still not ready.” said Randy.<\/p>\n

“Anywhere but here.”<\/p>\n

Jessica left and we decided to go and find Denise in the forest.<\/p>\n
